"That Baby Don't Look Like Me"

Who thought this song was cool? And why are the radio stations playing it? I mean I know not to expect much from someone named "Shawty Putt" but why keep perpetuating the stereotype? So you can make a couple bucks with this sorry excuse for a song? Ahhhhh!

Google the lyrics...you'll see what I mean.

I actually found this song quite entertaining. Granted it is stupid but within all things you find truths. To me this is a rapper who made a song about real life, it’s based off of Maury. Everyone loves Maury and we all know it’s real . Correct me if I am wrong, but this song is about a woman who has had a baby and she is claiming that this man is the father of her child. While the guy is claiming the child cannot be his because the infant has no matching physical features with him. It’s the classic “woman having a baby not knowing who the father is” Actually before I continue, have you seen the music video? The link is below. It’s a super low budget music video but still entertaining.

I also have another u-tube video for ya. Not sure if you have seen soulja girl on Marta. This happened a few weeks ago on the Marta train in Atlanta. This is what rap is doing to our youth or this girl is seriously trippin off some hard drugs or something.

Now she is perpetuating the stereotype.

Funny…your blog was the first time I had heard of the song. I must be lame. After listening, I too found that song entertaining. Maury used to be a guilty pleasure of mine. It's seriously hilarious. I don't think it's perpetuating the stereotype at all, I think it's capitalizing on the stereotype. These women put themselves out there like that. Rap music has gone down the tube anyway....but my breakup with hip-hop is a whole separate topic. Stupid song, but entertaining.
